Brake, transmission, exhaust and glass work is often done by specialty shops that see the same job dozens of times a week. Brake shops replace pads and rotors the same day and usually inspect for free; transmission shops rebuild or replace automatics and clutches, a multi-day job that deserves a second quote; muffler and exhaust shops weld custom pipes and replace catalytic converters, which in many states must meet emissions rules. Alignment and suspension shops fix pulling, uneven tire wear and worn shocks, and radiator shops handle overheating and cooling-system leaks. Auto glass shops replace windshields, often at your home or office, and recalibrate the driver-assistance cameras mounted behind the glass. Window tinting and car audio shops round out the group.

Had my wifeβs transmission fluid drain and fill maintenance at 30k miles. Tom is very knowledgeable and explained to me regarding maintenance intervals. I highly recommend this shop rather than going to the dealership where they charge you an arm and a leg. I will surely come back for maintenance work for all my vehicles. Lastly the wait was a quick turnaround. I went for breakfast in a hole in a wall restaurant next door and an hour later Tom gave me a call that the car is ready.

I stopped by shop and spoke with Tom. I told him my 2018 Altima was having acceleration issues. He stopped what he was doing and took the time to check out my car, ran a diagnostic, and let me know it was a transmission failure.....all without charging me a thing. He was very honest, helpful, and experienced. He made sure I understood what was going on before sending me on my way. I really appreciated his professionalism and honesty. Highly, highly recommend.

My transmission broke down on a cross-country roadtrip, and the replacement transmission I got in Colorado failed in Sacramento. Iβm really grateful I found Tom! He was extremely professional and empathetic to my situation, and he figured out how to repair the part that broke for less than he originally quoted me. He is extremely knowledgeable and explained the issue very well. His communication was excellent and I was kept in the loop through the entire repair. I got the impression that Tom seeks out opportunities to learn and further advance his skills, which is highly admirable given that heβs already an expert. Iβd highly recommend House of Automatic Transmission.

Iβve been having this problem with a transmission. The code that my OB2 scanner keeps popping out was a solenoid code which pretty much was screwing up my Honda Transmission. I already spoke to Tom/owner and we agreed to bring it in early on Monday so he could have it for 2 days. Well, life would be just weird by not having some problem on top of the problem that I was currently dealing with. So, how it was explained to me was the power cord that from the battery to the tranny was having connecting issues. Actually the connectors were literally falling out of the plug. So Tom had to order a power connector from Honda which of course they would have to order and would take the rest of the week or worst case maybe even next week. And now cue in the temper tantrum of a kid inside me venting out to Tom about how and why my cars not fixed etc etc. letβs just say I had to and owes it to the man. Yes I came to realization that I was not being reasonable and have to realize things just sometimes take more time. Well I got lucky and Tom decided to accept my car back(I only drove it down the street and realized no way itβs not going to make it. Iβd be lucky to just be able to make it to anot

I brought my 1966 Mustang with a 4-speed to this business because the shifting was not feeling smooth. I spoke with Thom who was helpful from the beginning. He test drove the car, diagnosed the problem, provided me a quote that was beyond fair, and kept me appraised every step of the way. There were no hidden fees and my transmission shifts amazing. Iβd highly recommend this local business; thanks Thom and staff!!
